Regular Kuy tradition is analogous to other Mon-Khmer minority teams of Southeast Asia. Historically, they ended up subsistence farmers and supplemented this by weaving, raising livestock and fishing. For the duration of situations of drought or in the event the soil misplaced its fertility, complete villages relocated to additional favorable land.
